building muscle, i can’t gain enthusiasm?

i have not enough enthusiasm to work out on equiptment, however i want to build muscle, or at least gain a thicker torso from front to back, and actually have somewhat of a chest, being at almost 20 years old, and being as skinny as i am, its kind of a requirement to pass up a lot of people who really just don’t care about how they look.
i want people to notice that i take care of myself, and that i’m not just lazy, but that i have something to show for it
also is there certain foods/vitamins/liquids to eat along with whatever i should be doing?

What are the best ways to build muscle fast?

I am 22yrs 5′11″ 165 pounds, I currently workout heavy four days a week and have increased my protein intake by about 110 grams a day, mainly through protein drinks because I don’t like eating all the time. What are some things I can add to or adjust to make the process faster and more efficient because after about 6 weeks I have not seen a lot of gain but more tone but like I said I workout heavy with high weight and low reps.
